The STORGARD QUICK-CHANGE ULTRA-COMBI monitoring system is a pre-baited, multi-species, cost-effective method for detecting moth AND beetle activity at the earliest possible stages. It uses synthetic sex pheromones and kairomones that attract several species of moths and beetles into a specially designed trap that contains a sticky catching surface.

Early detection of moths and beetles. This activity allows control measures to be employed before large quantities of stored food products become contaminated with larvae.

Each STORGARD QUICK-CHANGE ULTRA-COMBI kit contains enough materials for up to twelve weeks of continuous monitoring depending on environmental conditions. Some installations may require replacement schedules of four to eight weeks due to environmental conditions.

When to monitor:

As a general rule, most insects thrive at average temperatures below 12˚C. In heated facilities or warmer climates, a year-round monitoring program is essential for early detection of insects in stored products. Even in unheated storage areas in cold weather, it is important to recognize places that may provide heat sources. For example, the surrounding temperatures of machines
can favor the development of insects even if the nearby temperatures are below the threshold of 12˚C. Anytime sensitive food products or commodities are stored, there is a possibility of insect infestation in the stored products.
